Last week a Polish man who turned up in Britain claiming he can't remember a thing - including his own name - was believed to have been identified.
Police circulated a picture in an effort to unravel the mystery of the amnesiac, who sought help at the Polish Consulate in central London on Thursday night.
But The Mirror was contacted by a member of the Polish community in London, who identified the man as Marcin Starosta, originally from Obrzycko in Poland but now living in Crewe, according to his Facebook page.
