The hacker group has now released a statement claiming the terrorists are planning up to eight attacks today.
An Anonymous Twitter account published a list of events which they claim are under threat, with a statement reading: "This is a warning to anyone going to any of the events listed below or going to any event with a lot of people.

"There will be big events worldwide on the 22nd, go at your own risk."

Although some events are not 100 per cent confirmed by Anonymous as at risk, they claim the following may be targeted:

- Cigales Electroniques with Vocodecks, RE-Play & Rawtor at Le Bizen, Paris

- Concrete Invites Drumcode: Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Joel Mull at Concrete, Paris

- Demonstration by Collectif du Droit des Femmes, group for women’s rights, Paris

- WWE Survival Series, US

- Five Finger Death Punch, Milan

- Feast of Christ the King celebration, Rome/Worldwide

- Al-Jihad, One Day One Juz, Indonesia

- University Pastoral Day, Lebanon

However, the tweet warning of the attacks has since been deleted and another Anonymous account posted to suggest the rumours were unfounded.
