Celine Dion Gives Tear-Jerking Tribute To Paris Victims During AMAs Performance

Celine Dion Gives Tear-Jerking Tribute To Paris Victims During AMAs Performance

Celine Dion brought the AMAs audience to tears with her heartbreaking tribute to Paris in the wake of the deadly terrorist attacks there. She sang a song of love in French dedicated to the city and it’s victims, and her performance brought tears to many in the audience.

Celine Dion, 47,  took a break from her Las Vegas residency to perform live at the American Music Awards Nov. 22. She sang a version of legendary French singer Edith Piaf‘s “Hymne a L’Amour,” as images of the French capital  including the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower — were projected on a screen behind her.

The emotional performance was a sharp turn to an otherwise uplifting night of music, but paid a wonderful tribute to those who lost their lives in the deadly Paris terrorist attacks of Nov. 13.
