A TERRORIST’S body is carried from a flat after a gun battle with more than 100 police yesterday, as sources claimed it may be the IS mastermind behind the Paris massacre.

Officers hunting Abdelhamid Abaaoud — who planned last week’s carnage which killed 129 — said a blonde accomplice blew herself up as cops and special forces stormed the scene.

Armed cops fired an astonishing 5,000 bullets as they swooped on the terror cell.

IS massacre mastermind Abaaoud was believed to be one of the two suspects who died in the pre-dawn swoop on a flat.

It was reported that the 27-year-old Belgian fiend had died in a hail of bullets and grenade blasts in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis.

His cousin Hasna Aitboulahcen blew herself to bits as she tried to lure the cops into a deadly trap. The suicide blast — Europe’s first involving a female — killed police dog Diesel, who had been sent to approach her and sniff out explosives.


Last night Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said it was too early to confirm whether Abaaoud had been killed.
He said the corpse found near Aitboulahcen’s remains was too bullet-riddled to instantly identify.
Mr Molins praised the brave 130 cops who raided the flat.
He said they found “a war arsenal of Kalashnikov assault rifles and explosive belts”.
And he told how the cell was poised to launch another bloody attack in Paris with Charles De Gaulle airport and the commercial district an alleged target.
After an inital gun battle, Aitboulahcen, 26, had pleaded “Help me! Help me!” and walked out of a besieged lair with her hands on her head.
But she ignored commands to keep her hands up as she approached cops — then detonated a vest packed with explosives.
Witnesses said officers screamed: “where is your boyfriend?” to Hasna as she walked towards them. She said: “He’s not my boyfriend” then blew herself to bits.
Diesel, a seven-year-old Malinois Belgian Shepherd, died instantly in a hail of bolts and nails packed into the vest — leaving his handler in tears.
