Mechanic pleads guilty to the murder of top City lawyer

A LODGER yesterday admitted murdering a talented City lawyer who was strangled in her bedroom.

Mechanic Peter Kibisu, 23, pleaded guilty to killing Elizabeth Nnyanzi, who was found dead in the family home she shared with her parents and two sisters. He entered no plea to a further charge of raping Elizabeth, 31.

Kibisu was a close friend of the family and had been entrusted with staying at their £600,000 house in Harrow, North West London,

He showed no emotion as he spoke only to confirm his name and admit the murder charge at the Old Bailey.
Prosecutor Mark Heywood QC said the rape charge had been added to the indictment after new scientific evidence.

Kibisu was remanded in custody until January 8. Elizabeth worked at top law firm Herbert Smith Freehills, was a keen singer and had been active in several charities.
