Terrorist who plotted to bomb Next store at UK shopping centre jailed for 40 years
A TERRORIST who plotted to bomb outside a Next store in Manchester’s
Arndale Centre on one of its busiest weekends has been jailed in
America.
Pakistani-born Abid Naseer, 29, was sentenced to 40
years in prison after being found guilty of planning the UK bombing as
well as a terrorist attack on the New York subway, a US attorney said.
Naseer, who came to Manchester from Peshawar, Pakistan on a student visa in November 2008, was the head of a UK al-Qaeda cell.
