Schoolgirl Becky Watts killers have BOTH appealed their sentences and convictions

Tragic Becky was murdered in a sexually-motivated attack
TRAGIC schoolgirl Becky Watts killers have BOTH appealed their sentences and convictions, it emerged today.

Evil Nathan Matthews, 28, brutally butchered his 16-year-old step-sister in a sexually-motivated plot with the help of his girlfriend Shauna Hoare, 21. Hoare was jailed for 17 years for her manslaughter, and Matthews was given a minimum of 33 years behind bars for her horrific murder last month.

Twisted Matthews lodged an application with Bristol Crown Court for permission to launch an appeal. Hoare had appealed earlier this week.

A spokeswoman for Bristol Crown Court said: “We have received a request from both Shauna Hoare and Nathan Matthews.

“This request is for us to send their directions to the Court of Appeal. “Nathan Matthews' appeal request was received out of time so that is going to the Royal Courts of Justice. “Shauna Hoare's was received on time at the beginning of this week.

“We only received Nathan's today. You have 28 days from the conviction date to appeal so it is out of time so they will decide whether there are suitable grounds for him to appeal or not.” Becky’s devastated dad Darren Galsworthy blasted the pair for appealing their sentences  describing it as a “kick in the teeth”.

He added: “We shouldn't have to go through this again.
“Considering the evidence against her, I can't believe she is doing this. It's absolutely sickening.”
