Carjacker leads cops on 70mph car chase ending in deadly shoot-out

Cops in Seattle, USA, say Raymond Azevedo stole three cars in one day before leading officers on terrifying high speed chase.

Officers chased the stolen car at speeds of up to 70mph

Azevedo was eventually shot dead by police after one of his stolen Chevrolet Camaro was rammed. Cops were alerted on Sunday afternoon when two coffee shop employees told police there was a man with a gun inside.

The thug later burst into a tattoo parlour before stealing a Volkswagen at gunpoint, then driving to an athletic centre and threatening someone with his weapon before stealing a minivan.

The doomed criminal eventually stopped at a rental car business and forced staff to hand over the keys to a Chevrolet Camaro. Azevedo then led cops on a 70mph car chase, repeatedly shooting at the officers whilst driving.



 After trying to dodge police barricade an officer rammed him head on before officers took cover behind their cars and opened fire, killing him inside the vehicle.

 Cops say they discovered two guns inside the Camaro stolen by career criminal Azevedo who had been to jail four times for unlawful possession of a firearm, assault and attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle.
