DONALD Trump has accused British politicians of 'pandering to political correctness' - insisting they should be 'thanking him' for claiming parts of the UK were 'no-go' areas for non-Muslims.

The billionaire presidential hopeful - who also called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US" - hit back after more than 420,000 people signed a petition saying Trump should be banned from Britain.

Trump, today branded "another Hitler" by outraged Muslims following his comments, said "I only said what needed to be said". He added: "The UK politicians should be thanking me instead of pandering to political correctness.

"In fact, in an article out today, many police officers in London have come forward to confirm their fears of terrorism.
