The tragedy unfolfed a year after the midfield ace sent a chilling tweet predicting his death. Arnold Peralta wrote a message saying that criminals in Honduras were making it "fashionable to kill" - just months before he was gunned down.
The midfield ace, who played for Rangers until January, wrote: "How hard our country with so many criminals killing each time, as is fashionable to kill! such people do not deserve to be alive".
Honduras international star Peralta, 26, was targeted by three men on motorbikes as he opened the door of his Porsche Cayenne after buying baby clothes for his three-month old tot Camila.
