Mourinho to Manchester Utd, Leicester and Chelsea — is this the craziest Premier League season ever?
Manchester United fans vote in favour of sacking Louis van Gaal as 87% say he should go
The midfield maestro was a key part of Mourinho’s all-conquering Inter Milan side that won the Champions League in 2010 as well as the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia.
But he is now unhappy at Galatasaray and would be the perfect fit for Mourinho’s Manchester United in every sense – a dressing room acolyte, capable of telling the rest of the squad how good the manager is, and also someone who buys into his work ethic.
Mourinho is waiting for United’s minitial approaches to be replaced by something concrete if Ed Woodward and the Old Trafford board make the big call to sack Van Gaal.
An exclusive poll by SunSport has revealed a staggering 87 per cent of fans want to see the Dutch manager given the boot.

SunSport can reveal Mourinho has begun watching all of United’s games so far this season in forensic detail.
United came close to signing Sneijder — who has 120 international caps for Holland — back in 2010 but were put off by Inter’s asking price.
“They contacted the club after our Treble season but too much money was asked for. And I was also happy at Inter so I decided to stay.
“Manchester United are a fantastic club and they kept showing interest after that year but not as determined as before.”
