‘Now I will sue killer’: Lee Rigby’s dad’s fury at Michael Adebolajo‘s ’despicable’ compensation claim

SOLDIER Lee Rigby’s dad is to sue his son’s compo-claiming killer.

Phil McClure, 55, is furious over Michael Adebolajo’s “despicable” legal action after two of his front teeth were knocked out in prison. The Islamist fanatic, 32, could get up to £20,000 of taxpayers’ cash.
But lorry driver Phil revealed he had a heart attack a few weeks ago and blames Adebolajo and fellow killer Michael Adebowale, 24.


The pair were jailed for life for murdering Fusilier Lee, 25, outside his barracks in Woolwich, South East London, in May 2013. Phil, from Oldham, said: “I’m absolutely disgusted by it. There’s no way that animal should get a penny.

“It’s only a couple of teeth. Doctors told me I had a heart attack a few weeks ago. Our family’s been left in bits by what they did to my boy. “I’m going to speak to a solicitor about whether we have a case for suing him and any money we can get we’ll give to the Help for Heroes charity.”

The Sun revealed yesterday that Adebolajo is suing the Prison Service after losing two front teeth while going berserk in London’s top-security Belmarsh in July 2013.

Five prison officers who restrained him while escorting him from his cell were suspended but later cleared.
Phil, whose wife Julie has written to David Cameron in protest, added: “It’s despicable. What’s he going to spend any compensation on?

“I’d do more than knock his teeth out if I was in there with him.”
