The bodies of Sian, 43, Zachary, eight, and Amon, four, were found buried in the garden of their home in Erith, South London, on January 5. They were reported missing three weeks earlier. Simpson-Kent was arrested in Ghana on December 19. He claimed he would have returned voluntarily had he not been detained.

Sian, who suffered from motor neurone disease, and her two sons died from head and neck injuries, post-mortem examinations revealed. She played man-eating Frankie Pierre in EastEnders in the late 1990s.
