Spokesperson Theo Layne said humanitarian relief was provided and the city's human settlements department were providing kits to help people rebuild their homes.
The departments of electricity and water and sanitation had been on the scene since Saturday morning rehabilitating the site for rebuilding, he said.
The fire broke out on Friday. Numerous wood and iron structures and reeds were burned.
No injuries were reported.
Last year, at least two people were found dead and thousands lost their homes in a devastating fire that raced through the informal settlement near Fish Hoek.
