 It is not clear exactly what crimes the victims have committed but the punishments form part of ISIS’ interpretation of Islamic Sharia law. Last year the militants released a document outlining their brutal punishments, which take place after a show trial in front of a so-called expert in Islamic law.

The collection shows a whole host of gruesome punishments being carried out by ISIS
 Blasphemy, murder, homosexuality, adultery, spying and leaving Islam are all punishable by death, with execution methods ranging from beheading and shooting to stoning and being thrown from a high rise building.

Meanwhile those accused of stealing have one of their hands cut off as a way of informing everybody they meet of their past crimes.
