Swedish airport partially evacuated due to threat

(iStock)Police have given the all-clear at Landvetter Airport in southwestern Sweden after a suspicious package was found to be harmless.

The airport's domestic terminal was evacuated as a bomb disposal squad examined the package on Thursday afternoon.

The move came amid stepped-up security due to an unidentified threat directed at the airport earlier in the day.

The terminal reopened after police lifted the security alert.

Landvetter is Sweden's second-largest airport, and is located about 20km from the city of Goteborg.
