I was never concerned about Costa’s motivation: Conte

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists he was never concerned with Diego Costa’s motivation after the striker decided to stay with the club in the close season.

The Spanish international was heavily linked with a move back to his old club Atletico Madrid after a disappointing second campaign with The Blues.

[On whether he held concerns over Diego Costa’s motivation] “No because when Diego decided to say he told me; I stay, I stay. I want to fight for this club, I want to fight for all my team-mates, I want to fight for this shirt’. I wasn’t concerned.”
