One suspect was arrested on Thursday for allegedly being in possession of elephant tasks valued at Ksh.4.2 million and pieces wildlife bones in Busia.
According to Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the suspect identified as Joseph Ndenda, a foreigner, was smuggling the items to the neighbouring country.
The items included 50 pieces of tusks weighing 42kgs and 85 pieces of wildlife bones weighing 35kg.
The man is set to arraigned for the offence of being in possession of wildlife trophies without a permit.
