If Blake Shelton wasn’t dating Gwen Stefani, there’s a chance she
and Miranda Lambert may have been able to bond over their respective
divorces. Even despite the love triangle, the country superstar can
relate to her ex’s new girlfriend, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY
learned. Get the scoop!
Gwen Stefani and Miranda Lambert have a lot in common — and we don’t just mean the fact that they’ve both been with Blake Shelton
romantically.Unfortunately, this mutual love interest has likely put a wrench in any sort of friendship the ladies could have, but that doesn’t mean they can’t sympathize with what one another is going through!
“Despite the fact that Gwen is dating her ex-husband, Miranda has always been a fan of her music,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“She can totally relate to her new song.” The 46-year-old’s new hit,
“Used To Love You,” tells the story of how she felt after realizing her
marriage to Gavin Rossdale was
over. The track is incredibly emotional, and the lyrics reveal that Gwen has gotten over that initial feeling of ‘hate’ toward her ex, with the realization that she once loved him deeply.
Since Miranda and Gwen each got divorced just weeks apart, it’s understandable that the “Little Red Wagon” singer can connect to Gwen’s song emotionally. Unfortunately, they’ll probably never bond in any way further than this…it’d be a little awkward, after all, with their mutual connection to Blake.
Interestingly, the No Doubt singer performed “Used To Love You” at the American Music Awards on Nov. 22, and although her man wasn’t in the audience to cheer her on, he made sure to show his love and support via Twitter. “Prepare for greatness,” he wrote, just moments before Gwen was set to hit the stage.
Afterward, a fan tweeted that they felt Gwen’s performance was the “best of the night,” and Blake wrote back, “Agreed.” Simple and sweet, but gets the point across, right!?
