The admirer replicated the iPhone lockscreen in meticulous detail

IS this the best way to get yourself a date or the most awkward proposition ever? 

Southampton University student, Naomi Lucking, was surprised when a shy suitor dropped this message onto her desk while she was studying at the library. 

The nerdy note shows a sketch of an iPhone screen that reads “WhatsApp 1 New Message” with instructions to unfold it. 

Inside the outline of the phone, Naomi’s admirer asks “Would you like to have a coffee with me someday?”

On Twitter, Naomi claimed she wishes she congratulated the guy behind the note, feeling bad that “he shuffled off defeated”. 

Sadly her admirer remains single, as Naomi apologetically informed him that she has a boyfriend.
