Giggs seems to have been sidelined more and more under LVG

RYAN GIGGS is set to be offered a way out of Manchester United by Swansea. The Welsh club parted company with boss Garry Monk this week  and United legend Giggs is on their shortlist of candidates to take over.

The Swans believed his ties to Old Trafford would make it very hard to land him. But with big problems at United and Giggs looking increasingly sidelined by boss Louis van Gaal, it could happen.


Giggs, 42, would want assurances about his future at Old Trafford  and the possibility of him taking over from Van Gaal  before rejecting the chance to manage full-time in the Premier League.

LVG, 64, faces mounting criticism after United failed to make the last 16 of the Champions League.
Monk was axed after a run of just one win in 11 Premier League games.
