Over 8,000 migrants left stranded as Macedonia blocks border with Greece

MORE than 8,000 desperate migrants were left stranded last night after Macedonia refused to allow them in from Greece.

 Some of the Germany-bound Afghans risked their lives scrambling over razor wire after Macedonia said it would only allow Syrian and Iraqi refugees through. It came as the US and Russia said a planned truce in Syria will start on Saturday.
