Woman dressed as zombie bride glasses clubber in brutal Halloween attack

A ZOMBIE bride exploded with rage and glassed a clubber who pulled down her veil in a brutal Halloween attack. Ghoul Catherine Ingram, 25, lost her rag and smashed a pint tumbler into the face of victim Stuart Shannon in a nightclub in Ayr.

Blood gushed onto the dance floor and sprayed over the mum-to-be’s costume in the early morning assault at the town’s Club de Mar. The victim was rushed by ambulance from the packed venue to hospital where doctors stitched up his wound.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard Mr Shannon later picked out the self-confessed “psychotic burd” of an ID parade. Shamed Ingram, who is now six months pregnant, pled guilty to the attack after the prosecution completed their case at her trial.

She denied striking him with a glass bottle, but accepted she had hit him with a plastic glass. The appalling attack was captured on the nightclub’s CCTV, which happened at 1.47am on November 2, 2014.

Mr Shannon told Sheriff Colin McKay: “She had a wedding veil on and I pulled it up. She was a zombie bride and I was just having a night out, acting a bit silly and probably shouldn’t have done it.”
In the months after the attack Ingram said in social media posts: “Being bored agitates me a want to rip somebody’s throat clean oot.”

In another she added: “Staying away fae the drink! Turned into a absolute crazy psychotic burd last weekend.” Shameless Ingram was handed a £250 fine and told to pay £250 compensation to her victim.

Sheriff McKay said: “This could have had much more serious consequences.” Last night Ingram declined to comment.
