The two were arrested while covering demonstrations in Nairobi’s Kibra area following the announcement of Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the Tuesday’s presidential election by the polls body, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

According to Kilimani POLICE BOSS, Joseph Kinoti, the journalists were unable to produce license for the protective gear yet only licensed people need to have such.
“They have until Wednesday next week to bring the license if at all it does exit,” said Kinoti.
The two have since been released on a free bond but have had to surrender the gear.
